Hail, Hail, Fredonia!


As promised, here is Disc Two of the Marx Brothers soundtracks. Here we have Duck Soup, A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races, and a mere two tracks from Room Service. "Guest" vocalists include Kitty Carlisle and Alan Jones, the latter getting his big break in 1935's A Night At The Opera.

Chester: If Radio still existed for broadcasting as it once did, you'd have a national audience either before or after Jack benny or Fred Allen. Yr musical taste and whimsy are outtasight.

Thanks, Campbie. In truth, my collection is small and I'd be a listener grabbing everything I could. Have you checked out the Radiola link? That is an excellent show, and the host relies almost exclusively on 78s from his own collection. You can download his show each week from http://radiolablog.blogspot.com. You won't be disappointed.
